A behind the scenes look into Laurens’ 15th birthday studio session
A little about Lauren
Lauren radiated confidence and positivity upon meeting her. Lauren made preparing for this session so easy because she knew exactly what she wanted for her session. Lauren openly collaborated with me to make everything perfect, from deciding color scheme, to what outfit and hairstyle she’d have. On session day, Lauren showed up looking like an absolute doll. With a hairstyle inspired by Ariana Grande, and the cutest party dress I’ve ever seen, I knew her session was going to be amazing. Lauren is a freshman at Weslaco High School and is a fashion model. She has modeled most of her life and has even modeled at New York Fashion Week. It was evident that she loves to work the camera, which made her session even more fun! Lauren shared afterward that she had so much fun and had an overall great experience.
The funny part
So many times throughout her session, we’d hear a balloon loudly pop which startled us, but then made us laugh. Lauren had specifically requested clear confetti balloons so of course I was on it. I was determined to have tons of confetti balloons which I blew up the night before. As I inflated, they began to pop, shooting confetti into the air unexpectedly. The next day, with confetti all over the floor, there were a few left, which slowly popped one by one, in the middle of Lauren’s session, which was scary, but funny.
My favorite part
I love recording all of my sessions so that I can have behind the scenes footage to share with my clients afterward. As I went through the video and highlighted the parts I was going to use, I couldn’t help but notice that Lauren is such a happy & bright soul. Watching her laugh, throw glitter and confetti up around her with a huge smile on her face was so rewarding. Not to mention how much she enjoyed her cake. Watching Lauren have so much fun was my absolute favorite part and is the very reason I call these sessions “celebrations”, because that, they are.

- She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends and family in her free time
- She stays busy participating in cheer, FFA and tumbling
- She hopes to experience a great year as a 15 year old and keep doing well in her life
